100 listed shares hit floor, VN Index loses over 13 points

The VN Index of Hochiminh Stock Exchange (STC) today September 16 ended with a loss of 13.56 points or nearly 3 percent to 457.11 points. The trading value still reached over 1.27 trillion dong while the trading volume decreased over 15 percent from the previous trading session.

Of 229 losers, up to 100 listed shares hit the floor, accounting for one third of the total listed shares.

In the group of large capitalisation stocks including MSN, BVH and VIC also hit the floor. By early the trading session, MSN reached the ceiling price. Many other key stocks also hit the floor including KDC, OGC, PVF, HAG, PVL and LCG.

Notably, IJC reached the ceiling price for the fifth consecutive trading session to 11,000 dong per share.

FPT at the closing time decreased nearly 3 percent to 51,500 dong per shares after reaching the ceiling price of 55,500 dong per share by early the trading session today. The trading volume reached nearly 1.4 million shares.

HQC and ITA led the market in terms of trading volume with over two million shares being traded each. At the closing time, HQC hit the floor and ITA declined nearly 3 percent.

In terms of negotiation transactions, VPL reached a trading volume of 1.6 million units at the floor price of 91,500 dong each totalled at 146 billion dong.

HNX Index today fell for the third consecutive session to 74.88 points with 75 percent of listed shares losing points. The market liquidity also declined by 80 percent against the previous trading session.

Almost key stocks lost points such as KLS, VCG, VND, PVX, BVS and WSS.
