150m doses of bird flu vaccine in this September campaign

The Veterinary Department under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will provide 150 million doses of vaccine this September to vaccinate the nation’s poultry stocks.
The vaccination programmes will be conducted from September 10 in Red River Delta provinces and the north-central provinces of Thai Binh, Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, Ha Nam, Ninh Binh, Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An.
In the southern and Mekong Delta provinces, the programme will be launched at the end of September. Each province will receive 4-5 million doses for the campaign.
After one-month of vaccinations in northern Nam Dinh province, poultry stocks have produced antigens to the virus and showed no signals of a recurrence of the disease.
