$5.8b to be invested in Laos and Cambodia
Overseas Investment Department (Ministry of Planning and Investment – MoPI)’s latest report said that so far, Vietnamese enterprises has invested in 214 projects worth more than $3.45 billion in Laos.
Currently, Laos is attracting the most attention of Vietnamese investors amongst 60 nations and territories.
Meanwhile, Vietnamese firms have invested in about 112 projects valued at over $2.36 billion in Cambodia.
Although the amount of registered capital is very big, the disbursed capital accounted for a low ratio. As estimated, total actualised capital in Laos and Cambodia reached $691 million and $763.43 million respectively.
