750 companies to join Linkage Industrial Exhibition

An annual international expo incorporating four differ t events, Linkage Industrial Exhibition Vietnam 2006, will open in HCM City this Thursday with some 750 enterprises displaying latest industrial machines and technology.
The sixth exhibition will feature woodworking, machine tools, automation industry, plastics, printing, packaging, food processing, leather and footwear, textiles and garments, and others at some 1,600 booths at the temporary premises of the Phu My Hung International Exhibition Centre in District 7.
Pham Quynh Giang, vice chair and deputy general director of Vinexad, which together with Hong Kong’s Paper Communication Exhibition Services and Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service Co are organising the event, said there would be some 3,500 types of machinery and equipment made by 735 enterprises going on display.
Some 60% of the participating companies are from some 20 countries and territories, such as China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand and the United States.
Tiger Lin, general director of Hong Kong’s Paper Communication Exhibition Services, told the Daily: “I believe this event is the best opportunity for Vietnamese manufacturers to modernise and upgrade their equipment and technology.”
The Vietnam International Woodworking Industry Fair will be held from October 19 to 22 with 430 booths of 155 enterprises displaying various woodworking machines, cutters, furniture accessories, and semi-finished products.
The second is the Vietnam International Machine Tool and Automation Industry Exhibition from October 27 to 30 with more than 180 exhibitors.
The third is the Vietnam International Plastic, Packaging, Printing and food Processing Industry Exhibition set for November 16 to 19 with the participation of more than 200 exhibitors in the plastic, printing, packaging and food processing machinery and equipment sectors.
