A Vuong Hydroelectric plant construction starts

Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) and the Hydroelectric Project Management Board 3 has officially launched construction on A Vuong hydroelectric plant in the A Vuong and Buong rivers in Quang Nam province.

The project has an installation capacity of 210MW with an expected yearly electricity output of 815 million kWh. Total cost of the construction is 3.149 trillion dong. State-owned Infrastructure Development and Construction Corp (LICOGI) is assigned as main contractor of the project.

The construction is scheduled to complete and integrate into the national grid in 2007.
