ADB funds US$20m for HIV/Aids prevention
The Vietnam Commission for Population, Family and Children has proposed the government to allow it to implement the project of HIV/Aids prevention for the youth with total value of US$20 million from the non-refundable aid of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The above project is expected to be carried out for six-years (2005–2010) in 15–17 cities and provinces nationwide.
The above project is first to target reducing the HIV infection danger for people at the 15–24 age, especially, the young unemployed.
Previously, the ADB disbursed a technical assistance funding worth US$400,000 for the above project in March 2005.
