AFD funds 25m euro for Mekong Delta housing development programme

The Ministry of Finance yesterday June 12 inked a deal with the state-run Mekong Delta Housing Development Bank (MHB) in Hanoi to on-loan US$25 million euro to this credit institution from the credit source funded by the French Development Agency (AFD) to accelerate the residential house development programme for people in the flood area of Mekong Delta.
According to the chair of the MHB board, the project will be carried out uniformly in 13 provinces and cities in Mekong Delta. MHB will use this credit source to lend to infrastructure construction development projects and improving the Mekong Delta living standard, including the re-arrangement of residential areas, dealing with residential houses for people, especially in flood areas aimed at exploring economic potentials hereby.
