Africa becomes Vietnam’s 2nd largest rice importer
Africa bought 375,000 tonnes of Vietnamese rice in the first half of this year, becoming Vietnam’s second largest rice importer behind Southeast Asia, a trade ministry official said. Africa’s January–June rice imports from Vietnam showed a year-on-year increase of 14.5% and accounted for 16% of Vietnam’s total rice shipments.
