Agribank Hanoi raises nearly 220b dong

The Hanoi branch of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, or Agribank on March 23 officially granted AAA gold prizes for winners of the lottery savings-based promotion programme first phase of 2004.
It was told that Agribank’s increasing of deposits from the prize savings programme in the first phase of 2004 from November 15, 2004 to February 13, 2005 with prizes of AAA gold made by the bank.
Ending the first phase of the promotion programme, Agribank Hanoi has raised 220 billion dong, exceeding 19% over the plan, of which 185 billion dong is the domestic currency and the remaining capital is US dollars.
Agribank Hanoi said that based on the lottery result, the second prize worth of two AAA gold taels [one tael equals 1.2oz] was given to Nguyen Thi Thach, in Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi, the winner of the third prize worth of one AAA gold tael was Nguyen Thi Tuat from the Hanoi National Economics University.
In addition, in this phase of the programme, three customers of Agribank Hanoi received four fourth prizes each worth of a half of a tael and 14 other customers won consolation prizes each worth of one ninth of a tael.
Agribank is expected to open the prizes on April 15 for the second phase of lottery savings-based promotion programme, taking place from December 20, 2004 to March 31, 2005.
So far, Agribank Hanoi has reached total deposits of 9.5 trillion dong, up 300 billion dong compared with 2004; total outstanding loans of 3.1 trillion dong, of which outstanding loans in dong are 2.1 trillion dong.
