Agricultural and rural insurance encouraged

The government has received suggestions to issue incentive policies for the development of different forms of insurance in agricultural and rural sectors to improve capacity to deal with risk and mitigating losses caused by natural disasters.

Among measures suggested are tax cuts or tax exemptions for rural dwellers that buy insurance. For insurance companies, their agricultural and rural insurance divisions may be subject to lower tax rates.
