Akzo Nobel inaugurates fourth plant in Vietnam
Akzo Nobel officially inaugurated and put into operation the painting and glue plant in Amata Industrial Park, Dong Nai Province. It is the fourth plant to be opened in Vietnam so far, and the first plant producing painting and glue to serve domestic market. The project has total investment capital of $12 million.
The new plant has been built in an area of 40,000 square metres with designed capacity of 36,000 tonnes per year. The products will be sold in the domestic markets at first. In the coming 3-5 years, the group would export products to neighbouring countries in the region.
Recently, Akzo Nobel Group has announced to spend about 13 million Euros for expanding production scale in the painting plant in Binh Duong. The construction works for expanding that plant is expected to be finished by 2016.
