Alcoa looks at investment options

Vietnam’s industry minister Dang Vu Chu held a meeting with Michael Baltzell,

chief executive officer of Alcoa Australia, Australian ambassador to Vietnam

Michael Mann, and two general directors of Alcoa Australia and Alcoa Asia on

April 17 in the ministry’s office in Hanoi.

ALCOA chairman and the Australian ambassador want to know more about Vietnam’s

investment policies regarding the country’s aluminium industry and information

related to bauxite mining in Tan Rai district, Lam Dong province, and in Dak

Nong district, Dak Lak province so that they can also plan investment projects

there.
