The UPCoM-Index, the measure of 130 unlisted public companies closed up on Thursday despite correction seen on the official bourses. Liquidity stayed low.
The index gained 0.12 point or 0.34 percent to close at 35.31.The gauge started with given mark of 100 on June 24, 2009 but it has never been back to that level.
The market volume rose to 232,026 shares changed hands for VND1.59 billion, compared with 187,680 shares changed hands for VND1.52 billion on Wednesday trading.
However, the market breadth was negative with 15 gainers, 18 losers, 5 unmoved and the rest untraded.
PVO was the biggest gainer today, climbing VND900 to close at VND10,300/unit on a trade of 100 shares.
STV was the biggest loser today, giving up VND500 to hit the floor at VND4,500 with 700 units changed hands.
UDJ was the most active stock for the second day today with 64,800 shares traded, adding up VND100 per share to close at VND9,400/unit.
Foreigners net bought 15,100 NTW shares; 1,500 PJS shares today.
