August 15: UPCoM-Index Resumes Gaining String

The UPCoM-Index, the measure of 131 unlisted public companies, resumed its gaining streak after a single down day yesterday, liquidity shrank.

The index added 0.07 point, or 0.19 percent, to end at 37.41.

The market volume fell to 177,700 shares valued at VND0.92 billion, compared with 574, 773 shares valued at VND6.78 billion from a day earlier.

Market breadth turned positive with 12 gainers, 11 losers, 9 unmoved, and the rest untraded.

CFC was the biggest gainer, climbing 11.54 percent to finish at VND5,800 on a trade of 100 shares.

TGP was the biggest loser, erasing 9.4 percent to close at VND2,900 on a trade of 200 units.

VSP was the most active on the gauge with a trade of 79,600 shares which closed down 3.9 percent to VND2,500.

Foreigners bought 100 GDW shares and sold 8,200 VSP shares today.
