August 16: UPCoM-Index Rises to 17 Month High
The UPCoM-Index, the measure of 131 unlisted public companies, rose back to 17 month high today.
The index added 0.46 point, or 1.23 percent, to end at 37.87.
The market volume rose to 225,500 shares valued at VND3.39 billion, compared with 177,700 shares valued at VND0.92 billion from a day earlier.
Market breadth stayed positive with 19 gainers, 8 losers, 9 unmoved, and the rest untraded.
SPC was the biggest gainer, climbing 9.8 percent to finish at VND28,000 on a trade of 90,100 shares. SPC was also the most active on the gauge.
BVN was the biggest loser, erasing 9.3 percent to close at VND8,800 on a trade of 500 units.
Foreigners bought 20,000 IME shares and 900 NTW shares today.
