Australian Resources Starts Work at Laos Mine
Brisbane, May 16 Asia Pulse – Pan Australian Resources Ltd (ASX:PNA) has started crushing and stacking ore at the Phu Bia Gold Mine in Laos and is on track to pour its first gold next month.
The company said the first modules of the heap leach operation including the ore crusher, agglomerator and stacker had been successfully commissioned.
The mining of ore had started with an initial grade of around 1.7 grams per tonne (g/t).
A previously reported increase in the ore reserve to over 8.5 million tonnes at 1.1 g/t containing about 300,000 ounces of gold should enable the company to accelerate its mining schedule.
