Aviation insurer posts 676b dong revenue in 2011
Vietnam Aviation Insurance Joint Stock Co (VNI) has recently summarised the operation in 2011 with estimated revenue of over 676 billion dong, of which, insurance premium was 583 billion dong (reinsurance was at about 20 billion dong) and revenue from financial investment activities was about 93 billion dong.
With this result, VNI still maintained its seventh position in terms of revenue in the non-life insurance market in 2011.
Ta Chien, VNI’s deputy general director said that the company is settling to get the final figure.
Regarding the business plan in 2012, in the context of difficulties, VNI does not set target on revenue growth, but aims to efficient business and service quality.
In November 2011, leader of Vietnam Coal and Minerals Industries Group (Vinacomin) said that in all likelihood, Vinacomin’s capital divestment in VNI will complete soon and it may end in 2011. Vinacomin had contributed 50 billion dong in VNI.
