Banks can propose inner network ATM fee

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) has recently issued a document asking card issuers themselves to propose the fee collection for domestic debit cards (ATM), including the average cost of an ATM transaction at banks, expected fee for each kind of transactions and the reason for asking the fee, then submit to the Payment Department under the central bank, according to the local newswire Tuoi Tre (Youth).

SBV has also asked banks to report detailed revenue and expenditure of domestic debit card service for more information to calculate and build an ATM fee table being applied from 2013.

Banks need to report detailed revenue from ATM service from January 01, 2012 to June 30, 2012, including business operations from money to maintain debit cards, transaction fee, cost for buying equipments for ATM systems.

In addition, banks also have to report the number of ATM cards, the total balance in ATM account and total cash in ATM funds of banks
