Banks lower US dollar price by 20 dong

In the morning June 26, many commercial banks reduced US dollar price against June 25.

Accordingly, in comparison with June 25, Vietnam Commercial Joint Stock Bank for Foreign Trade (Vietcombank-VCB) lowered both US dollar bid and ask prices by 20 dong.

Similarly, Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (Bidv) also adjusted down both US dollar bid and ask prices by 20 dong. Vietnam Commercial Joint Stock Bank of Industry and Trade (VietinBank-CTG) dropped US dollar by 10 dong while at Vietnam Export Import Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Eximbank-EIB); the US dollar prices remained unchanged.

In the morning today, the US dollar ask prices were commonly at 20,920-20,930 dong. The US dollar bid prices were popularly at 20,860-20,870 dong.

According to the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), the interbank average forex rate on June 26 remained unchanged at 20,828 dong/US dollar from June 25.

The forex rate ceiling of commercial banks is at 21,036 dong/US dollar.
