Commercial banks yesterday continued listing the US dollar selling/buying prices lower than the State Bank of Vietnam’s allowable ceiling level. Notably, the buying price was reduced to the lowest during the last one-month.

Statistics provided by SBV showed that commercial banks’ US dollar buying price on August 4 stood at 16,740 dong per US dollar, which was unchanged as compared with late last week. However, in fact big banks specialising in export import payment massively reduced the US dollar purchase price sharply.

Particularly, Vietcombank listed the buying price at 16,700 dong/US dollar and the selling price at 16,760 dong/US dollar. The bank’s US dollar selling and buying price difference continues to be widened recently.

Meanwhile, Sacombank’s US dollar buying price was 16,710 dong/US dollar while the selling price stood at 16,760 dong/US dollar as well.
