Software giant Microsoft Corp is set ease access to computers in Vietnam through a special programme set to launch this Saturday while Bill Gates is in the country.

The “OneClick project” would enable easy access to computers and software by envisaging installment payments and other promotional programmes towards average Vietnamese who can not afford the highly priced software.

The project would offer an integrated package comprising locally assembled computers, Microsoft office suite written in Vietnamese and high-speed internet service offered by VDC, a Vietnamese data company.

Chair Bill Gates, the richest man in the world, is due to arrive in Hanoi Friday to discuss IT industry development and software copyright protection.
