Binh Duong’s export revenue grows
Fast developing Binh Duong Province reports export revenue at US$1.16 billion in this year’s first six-months, increasing 27.5% from the same period last year, but meeting only almost 42.5% of this year’s target.
Pham Van Son Khanh, director of the Binh Duong Service of Trade and Tourism, told the Daily late last week that the main earners are wooden products, whose export brings in US$230million; footwearwithUS$154million; and fabrics and garments with US$138 million.
Khanh said the southern province’s export revenue grew more than 43% a year on average between 2001 and last year, and its average annual industrial growth was 39% in the past ten-years.
Binh Duong houses 977 foreign-invested projects with more than US$4.63 billion in combined capital and 3,041, Vietnamese projects, whose registered capital totals 13.49 trillion dong.
