Both floors rally, most blue-chips rise
The Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (STC) today April 17 surged on the stock market when the VN Index regained 6.2 points or 1.16% to end at 537.58 pts with the total matching order trade of 12,560,110 million shares and fund certificates worth nearly 564 billion dong.
Among 153 shares and fund certificates being listed on the southern bourse, the stock market recorded 123 shares increasing, five others remained unchanged and 25 shares decreasing.
In particular, STB and PPC regained 700 dong to 38,900 dong and 39,200 dong per share, VPL and PVD up 2,000 dong to 125,000 and 111,000 dong per share, DPM, FPT, SSI and VNM leaped 1,000 dong to 52,000, 94,000, 56,000 and 122,000 dong per share, VIC up 1,500 dong to 92,500 dong, HPG added 500 dong to 67,000 dong per share.
Meanwhile, decliners included ITA, MPC, VHC, NTL, SC5, HDC and HBC.
STB regained the first position in trading volume with nearly 2.5 million shares and followed by SSI with nearly 1.6 million shares, DPM with 715,050 shares, PRUBF1 with 564,490 shares and FPT with over 500,000 shares.
Foreign investors bought nearly two million shares with the largest volume of 557,680 SSI-coded shares, followed by DPM with 387,380 shares, FPT with 263,600 shares and others like VTO, VSH and PVD.
Like the southern bourse, the Hanoi Securities Transaction Centre (HaSTC) today April 16 also rallied on the stock market when the HaSTC Index resumed 3.79 points or 2.09% to end at 184.74 pts with the total market trade of 7,444,400 shares worth nearly 315 billion dong.
Amongst 133 listed shares on the northern bourse, the stock market saw 40 shares increasing while 78 others decreasing, 13 shares stood still and two shares with no trades.
Two shares with no trades were HSC and NPS.
13 shares remained unchanged including CIC, CMC, HHC, NTP, PPG, SDC, SRB, STC, TLC, TNG, TXM, VC5 and VCS.
MIC was the biggest gainer when adding 2,200 dong and followed by S99 up 2,000, KBC leaped 1,800, DTC bounced 1,400 and HLY bounded 1,100 dong per share.
Meanwhile BVS was the strongest decliner when losing 2,000 dong and others lost below 1,000 dong per share.
KLS took the pole place in trading volume with 987,500 shares and followed by ACB with 610,700 shares, PVS with 554,700 shares, SD7 with 369,500, PVI with 352,200 and HPC with 310,600 shares.
