Both indexes keep upward tendency

Vietnam’s stock market today April 9 continued the seventh consecutive gain as the index of Hochiminh Stock Exchange (STC) bounced another 1.49 points or 0.29 percent to end at 517.42 pts.

The total trading volume reached 59.5 million shares worth nearly 2.3 trillion dong, increasing 10 percent in volume and 13.48 percent in value against the previous session.

Amongst 222 listed shares and fund certificates on the southern bourse, the market saw 107 shares increasing with 31 reaching the ceiling price, 69 others decreasing with eight falling to the floor price and 45 standing still at the comparative price.
ITA led that market in terms of trading volume with 2.66 million shares and followed by VNE with 2.35 million, STB 1.99 million, PPC 1.53 million and CII with 1.3 million shares being changed hands.

Like the southern bourse, the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) today recorded the third consecutive gain when the HNX Index jumped 0.21 points or 0.12 percent to 170.83 pts with the total market trade of nearly 49.3 million shares worth 1.728 trillion dong.

Shares reached biggest trading volume including PVX over 6.1 million, VCG with nearly 2.9 million, ICG and VSP over 2.1 million, VGS 1.8 million, KLS 1.7 million and BCC over 1.1 million shares being traded.
