BVH touches ceiling, trading volume sees 6-month highest
The trading volume for BVH-coded share reached over 400,000 units. The VN Index of Hochiminh Stock Exchange (STC) ended the chain of two consecutive falls and the HNX Index on the northern bourse exceeded 75 points.
On the southern bourse today September 22, the VN Index closed with a gain of 1.69 points or nearly 0.4 percent to 449.26 pts. The total number of gainers doubled against the losers.
The market saw 46 million shares being transferred worth over 886 billion dong, increasing over 65 billion dong from the previous trading session.
Of the group of large capitalisation shares, MSN hit the floor and VIC decreased 1 percent whereas BVH touched the ceiling price after falling to the floor by the early trading session.
The trading volume for BVH share also increased strongly to over 400,000 units, marking the highest level since March 18.
Other key stocks also increased by the end of the trading session such as SSI, QCG, ITC, KDC, REE, HPG, and HAG together with the others such as PVF, OGC, KBC, and ITA.
IJC led the market in terms of trading volume with nearly 2.8 million units being changed hands. Some others reached the trading volume of over one million units such as PXL, PPC, OGC, ITA, SSI and STB.
Regarding negotiation transactions, KDC reached nearly 2.3 million units for over 79.7 billion dong. Foreign investors also negotiated to buy 2.2 million KDC shares.
The HNX Index gained for the second straight session to 75.44 pts, or 1.1 percent. The trading value increased slightly 20 billion dong from the previous trading session to reach 496 billion dong.
Key stocks reached high trading volume like KLS, VND, VCG, THV, PVX, and WSS of from one million to five million units. Only WSS stood still at the reference price while the others gained points.
SHB was negotiated for nearly 1.3 million shares at the floor price of 7,400 dong each. The total value reached 9.5 billion dong while the average closing price was 8,000 dong each.
