Call for international environment training institute

At the first conference of the International Support Group of Environment (ISGE) held on June 16 in Hanoi, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment called for support to the establishment of an international environment training institute in Vietnam.

The minister of environment Mai Ai Truc also proposed international donors to focus on other fields such as improving the management capacity of the environment ministry, drawing legal documents on natural resources and environment management, establishing a programme on natural resources management and environment protection, resolving urgent problems related to waste management and dealing with water pollution.

At the conference, representatives of international organisations and governments who are mainly donors to Vietnam in environment projects pledged to continue supporting Vietnam not only in the environment protection but also in stable development.
