Canada warns of children’s cough syrup

Canadian health ministry warned that children should stop using cough syrup with the ingredient DM because it contains double the allowable quantity of dextromethorphan (DM) which is said to cause headaches, tiredness, and slip of the tongue in children.
This medicine is produced by Jamp Pharmaceutical Co, located in Langley, British Columbia in Canada. Other brand names such as People First, PharmaChoice, Procurity Encounter, ARP Preferred, Medicine Centre, United Pharmacy and Western Family are also medicines of the warning.
