This year’s cashew output will reach 250,000 tonnes, 50,000 tonnes higher than last year, according to the Vietnam Cashew Association.

Since January, Cashew nuts processing companies have stocked 235,000 tonnes of raw cashew and they plan to buy in 15,000 tonnes in the next harvest. Vietnam is homing 80 processing factories with the capacity of 280,000 tonnes a year.

However, cashew price is down to 6,500 dong per kilogram from 10,000 dong in April due to poor quality.
