China home appliance maker builds factory
China’s Supor has said it is building a factory in the country to produce home appliances like pressure cookers, electric rice cookers, pots and pans at a total cost of US$15 million.
The facility is expected to start commercial production late next year, said Wang Feng He, vice chair of Supor, whose kitchen equipment and home electrical goods have been present in Vietnam for six-year.
Wang said at a conference with more than 150 sales agents in HCM City last week that his company was targeting to obtain total sales of US$5 million in the Vietnamese market along, a 60% year-on-year rise.
Of the sum, pans will account for a majority at US$1.5 million, he told the dealers meeting, which also marked the official entry into Vietnam of the company.
