Clough wins US$20m Chevron pipelay contract
Clough Ltd has been awarded a US$20 million contract by Chevron Offshore (Thailand) and Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production Ltd
The contract is for the installation of 11 subsea pipelines in the Gulf of Thailand as part of Chevron’s 2008 installation campaign.
Clough’s derrick lay barge, Java Constructor will perform the installation of the eight, 10, 16 and 20-inch pipelines totalling 70 kilometres (43 miles) in length in about 70 metres (230 ft) of water.
Java Constructor is now installing a 10-inch production and water injection pipeline and association in Hoan Vu JOC’s Ca Ngu Vang oil project in Vietnam. The vessel is scheduled to work on Chevron’s project from late July to early November 2008.
