Da Nang licenses 17 FDI projects in Jan-May

Da Nang Department of Planning and Investment has recently announced that in the first five months of this year, the agency has granted investment licenses to 17 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects totalled nearly $72 million.

These projects are mainly in sectors such as services, infrastructure and work investment projects.

Also in Jan-May, eight existing FDI projects registered to increase investment capital by over $40 million.

Thus, so far, the city has granted investment certificates for 222 FDI projects, of which, 116 projects have put into operations.

According to the department, in the first six months of this year, business and production activities of FDI firms were facing difficulties due to economic crisis, resulting in year-on-year declines of nearly 10 percent in revenue of export turnover of these FDI firms.
