Dengue fever spreads throughout Ca Mau

The incidence of dengue fever in Ca Mau province is spiralling rapidly. Up to now, there have been 1,293 local people infected with dengue fever reported increasing nearly 300 cases compared with the end of November 2005, said the health department of Ca Mau.
Notably, the disease has appeared in its nine districts, of which five of U Minh, Tran Van Thoi, Ca Mau city have the largest number of dengue fever patients.
So far, five people have died from the disease.
Ca Mau provincial health department said it is cooperating with authorities to launch a widespread campaign for dengue fever prevention across the province with the slogan ‘no mosquito larvae, no dengue fever.’
