Deputy foreign affairs minister visits Washington

Vietnamese deputy foreign affaires minister of Le Van Bang paid a working visit to the US from March 31 to April 7. In Washington D.C, Bang met and worked with high-ranking officials of the US departments, the US Trade Representative (USTR), the US Agency for International Development (USAID) as well as representatives of some US conglomerates, companies, nongovernmental organisations and overseas Vietnamese, or Viet Kieu.
At meetings, the both sides exchanged measures to enhance and expand cooperative relationships between the two countries, especially on occasion of the 10th anniversary of the normalisation of Vietnam-US relations on July 12, 2005. The US side commits to support Vietnam?s accession to the World Trade Organisation soon.
