A total 14 more foreign direct investment (FDI) projects worth US$21.9 million were licensed into industrial parks (IP) in southern Dong Nai Province in one-month from April 15 to May 15, the provincial IP authority said.
Meanwhile, ten operational projects in the province’s IPs also god nod to increase their capital by US$23.96 million, taking the total amount of fresh capital in the one-month to US$45.9 million.
The Dong Nai Industrial Zones Administration (DIZA) said the new licenses were awarded to six investors from South Korea, three from Japan, one from Brunei, a Singapore-British joint-venture, one from France and one from Taiwan.
An Phuoc and Amata IN each attracted three projects, while four others Nhon Trach I, Nhon Trach 11, Ho Nai and Long Thanh IPs each was home to two fresh projects.
As such, since early this year up to now, IPs in Dong Nai have attracted a combined US$301 million, including 47 new projects worth a total US$125 million and 37 operational projects injected with more than US$176 million.
The overall amount of FDI in Dong Nai so far is US$6.57 billion committed in 530 projects.
