Dong Nai province attracts FDI projects worth $2.78b in first 11 months

Dong Nai province department of planning and investment lately announced that up to the end of November, the total registered investment capital for FDI projects (for newly registered and capital-increasing ones) was estimated at $2.78 billion, increasing by 6.7 percent year-on-year and surpassing 39 percent against the year plan.

In details, the functional authority has granted investment licences for 29 new projects with investment capital of over $2.3 billion, and 38 other projects registered to change capital, with a total increase of $395.4 million.

It is considered the highest FDI capital that Dong Nai province has attracted from investor so far.

In early November, the local authority issued investment licence for Nhon Trach New City Co Ltd, under Malaysia-based Berjaya Group to conduct the largest FDI project worth $2 billion.

Up to now, there have been 978 projects to be carried out in Dong Nai province with total investment capital of $17.56 billion dong.
