East Timor finds evidence to resist Woodside gas plan

DeepGulf says its preliminary survey suggests that it would be feasible to build a pipeline from the Greater Sunrise gas field to East Timor.

Australia’s Woodside Petroleum continues to oppose the construction of an LNG plant in East Timor, which is the East Timor government’s preferred option. Woodside favours using a floating plant in the Timor Sea or shipping the gas to ConocoPhillips’ processing plant in Darwin.
