Egypt Air (MS), the national flag carrier of Egypt, on June 25 worked with Vietnamese tourism firms in HCM City to open a flying route linking Hanoi, HCM City to Cairo (Egypt).

Thus, Vietnam is the seventh market in Asia and the fourth market in Southeast Asia that Egypt Air (MS) will open transit flying route.

In the initial period, visitors from Vietnam to Egypt will fly from Hanoi and HCM City to Bangkok (Thailand) by Thai Airways or other airlines and then directly fly from Bangkok to Cairo, with a frequency of one flight per day, by modern Boeing 777 with about 300 seats. Then MS will build non-stop flying route to Vietnam.

Currently, MS has 86 destinations worldwide. Egypt’s Cairo airport is a transit point for visitors from Asia, South East Asia to Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
