Environment budget allocated to provinces

The natural resources ministry said they are focusing on the building of two decrees under laws giving guidance carrying out of some articles of laws on environment protection and administrative penalty for violating of environmental protection in order to carry out effectively the laws on environment protection in 2006.
Under the laws, the government has decided to release 1% equivalent to 2.9 trillion dong of national budget for activities of environment protection.
According to the Department of Environment, a large percentage of 85% of 2.9 trillion dong will be allocated to localities and the rest of 15% will be provided to central-levelly departments and agencies to carry out projects relating to environment.
The environment department is presently doing such environmental standards-related problems as standard of rubbish and wasted water in order to socialise the environment protection and prepare all the terms and conditions to put the Laws on Environment Protection into effect.
