Eximbank continues increasing deposit rates in US dollar
Vietnam Export-Import Joint Stock Co (Eximbank – coded EIB) has again raised the deposit rates in US dollars, despite the latest adjustment on August 18, 2010.
In details, starting from September 1, 2010, Eximbank has increased the interest rates for deposit in US dollars to the highest level of 4.65 percent per year in some deposit terms.
Previously, in the latest adjustment, the highest deposit rates that the lender was being offered was 4.45 percent per year.
This time, the customers who make deposit in US dollar and participated in the programme of “Tiet kiem chon ky lanh lai” or savings with selected deposit terms at Eximbank will receive the interest rates of 3.7 percent per year for one-month term; 4.0 percent per year for two-month term; 4.35 percent per year for three-month terms; 4.45 percent per year for six-month and twelve-month terms.
In addition, the bank offered deposit rates of 4.6-4.65 percent per year for depositors with savings of over $50,000.
The customers over 50 years old who make deposit with over six-month terms will enjoy bonus interest rates of 0.2 percent per year, depending on each types of banking products.
