Expatriate collects 1b dong for children with hydrocephalus

Reports have it that an expatriate from America Do Van Du has convinced his friends to help Vietnamese hydrocephalus children patients and donated 300 shunt valves, each of US$600 in worth to save hundreds of children.
Du also expressed his wish to found Fund for Hydrocephalus Children Support, which has many supports from foreign an domestic philanthropists, doctors and medical equipment companies.
Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper’s Fund for Underprivileged Patients Support has contributed 60 million dong for 20 hydrocephalus surgeries in Northern Vietnam, with the shunts donated by Du. Prof Dr Nguyen Quang Bai carried the and said that the operations were all successful.
Du also reports that he has called Intergra L-S 100 Co to donate 100 shunts, worth over one billion dong, to treat hydrocephalus children.
