FACTBOX-Indonesia sees 2011 oil output at 970,000 bpd
Indonesia expects crude and condensate production to reach 970,000 barrels per day (bpd) in 2011 on slightly higher output from Cepu and Northwest Java fields, data from the country’s oil and gas regulator BPMIGAS showed.
The former OPEC member will miss its production target of 965,000 barrels per day (bpd) this year after a gas pipeline leakage last month hit production at Chevron Corp’s unit.
Declining output at its ageing fields and sudden shutdowns in oil wells have often derailed the country’s plans to reach annual production targets.
Exxon Mobil Corp expects peak crude oil production of 165,000 bpd from its Cepu block to be delayed until the end of 2013.
