Farmers in flooded areas to receive support

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will soon propose the government to assist farmers to recover 100,000 hectares of seriously devastated rice fields due to the recent floods. Accordingly, farmers will be assisted 50-100% of the cost of replacement seed rice for re-cultivation. Namely, as proposed farmers in mountainous areas will be supported 100% of cost of seed rice, while farmers in coastal and delta areas will be funded 50%.
