First Boeing 777 owned by Vietnam Airlines

The first Boeing 777-200ERaircragt purchased by Vietnam Airlines arrived in Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi on August 22 after 16 hours of flying from San Francisco City in the US, according to Vnexpress.net.

The aircraft is the first out of the four Boeing 777-200ER the country’s flagship carrier singed to buy from Boeing Co between now and 2005. The total value of the contract for the planes fitted with Pratt & Whitney engines is around US$700 million.

Delivery fro the remaining three aircraft is scheduled for October 2003, 2004, and 2005.
