First Vietnamese department for foreign students started in Vinh university
The education department of the central province of Nghe An reported the Vinh Teachers Training University has started a new academic year for Chinese students learning Vietnamese. During the one-year course, 49 Chinese students from the Van Nam University of China will study Vietnamese combined with researching the history, culture and the people of Vietnam through realistic lessons.
The university has also held the course for 52 students of the Quang Tay Agriculture Technology University receiving scholarships in Vietnam.
During the first two-years, students will study in Chinese in the university with school fees ranging US$400 for a year and the rest of three-years will continue with their majors and awarded with degrees in the Quang Tay University of China with higher fees of US$800 a year.
The headmaster of Vinh University Dr Nguyen Ngoc Hoi said presently they are carrying out the graduate and post-graduate training course for 40 Laotian and 10 Thai students.
