France, Singapore provide medical help and scholarships

Three medical organisations in France and Singapore have reached agreements on providing scholarships and strengthening cooperation medical facilities and universities in Hanoi and HCM City.
The Les Laboratories Servier of France will give scholarships worth 90,000 euro (US$108,569) for teachers of the HCM City Medical and Pharmaceutical University and the Hanoi Medical University.
Vietnamese teachers will take part in refresher courses on cardiovascular diseases and endocrinology in France for three-years under an agreement signed Tuesday January 10 to mark 10 years of France-Vietnam medical cooperation.
The Maternity-Paediatrics Hospital of Singapore will collaborate with the HCM City Paediatrics Hospital I to improve doctors’ skills and apply advanced technology in treatment under a memorandum of understanding signed Tuesday January 10.
The same day the French-Vietnamese Hospital (FV Hospital) in HCM City signed an MOU with the Singapore’s National Eye Centre to help hone doctors’ professional skills and meet the demand of Vietnamese patients who want eye treatment in Singapore.
