The HCM City based FV Hospital yesterday inked a deal with the National Heart Centre of Singapore (NHC) to provide extensive care to heart patients, especially those who want to go to Singapore for heart surgeries.
Under a memorandum of understanding signed here yesterday, the Singapore centre will accept patients sent by FV Hospital to the city-state for heart operations and treatment, and will be responsible for all travel procedures. Cardiologists from Singapore will at least come to FV Hospital once a month for examining patients.
Those who have only a short time for treatment will be arranged for immediate surgery upon being admitted into the Singapore centre, thus helping them to save much on hospital fees. Then, patients will be transferred back to FV Hospital in HCM City for postoperative care upon request.
FV Hospital and the Singapore heart centre also cooperate in medical research and experience exchange in heart disease treatment. At the same time, doctors and nurses at FV Hospital will attend intensive training courses in Singapore, which will sharpen their skills to bring better services to clients.
Doctor Jean-Marcel Guillon, general director of V Hospital, said, “We strongly believe that NHC, one of the leading centres in South East Asia in treating patients with heart problems, can fully support us in enhancing health care services.”
NHC is a national referral centre for cardiovascular disease in Singapore with full and comprehensive range of heart services.
FV Hospital was established in 2003 as one of the biggest and most modern private hospitals in Vietnam. Currently, the hospital is giving treatment to about 500 clients per day. It has 20 full-time French doctors, 45 Vietnamese doctors, and about 400 visiting specialists.
