Gold price edges up 40,000 dong/tael

By earlier today Tuesday (May 17) the gold price in the domestic market slipped to 37.36-37.38 million dong per tael (buying-selling prices), falling by 50,000-60,000 dong per tael from yesterday.

Closing the trading session on May 16, the gold price for June delivery at New York slipped slightly to $1,490.4 per ounce due to the US dollar gained the highest against euro in seven weeks.

At 9:50 am today, the gold price in the domestic market increased 40,000 dong per tael from yesterday to 37.45-37.46 million dong per tael.

The gold selling price at SJC, SBJ and BTMC is at 37.37 million, 37.39 million dong and 37.35 million dong per tael respectively, up by 70 dong from earlier this morning.

The world gold price for immediate delivery according to Kitco at 9:55am Vietnamese time was at $1,492.2 per ounce.
