Gold price touches 33m dong/tael

The gold price today October 6 suddenly jumped by 1.4 million dong/tael. The increasing impetus of the domestic gold price was supported by the world gold price. Additionally, the US dollar price in the free market also soared to 19,710 dong/US dollar.

The world gold price bounced to $1,340/ounce, making another record and causing impacts on the domestic gold price.

Particularly, the SJC gold price jumped from 31.75 million dong per tael to 32.3 million dong/tael, increasing by 550,000 dong per tael.

In the morning, the SJC gold price was traded at 32.2-32.3 million dong/tael (buying-selling prices). After the opening stage, the SJC gold price continued to be adjusted up to 32.25-32.35 million dong/tael (buying-selling price)

The Bao Tin Minh Chau gold price was traded at 32.65 million dong/tael (selling price) and 32.45 million dong/tael (buying), increasing by one million dong/tael day on day.

The Sacombank’s SBJ gold price was listed at 32.54-32.64 million dong/tael (buying-selling).

Till 11:00 am, the SJC gold price was quoted at a new level at 33 million dong/tael (selling price).

The dong/US dollar FX rate also reached a new peak at 19,670-19,700 dong, even to 19,710 dong while the FX rate quoted at Vietnam Commercial Joint Stock Bank for Foreign Trade (Vietcombank-VCB) was at 19,490-19,500 dong/US dollar.
