Government raises 500b dong worth of bonds at yield of 12.1pct pa
Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) has reported the tender result of 500 billion dong worth of 3-year tenor government bonds issued by the State Treasury held on December 8 via the northern bourse.
The total registered volume was 800 billion dong, 150 percent against the offered volume.
Accordingly, the success ratio was 100 percent at the yield of 12.1 percent per annum, equalling to the lowest registered coupon rate and also equivalent to the yield in the previous tender (December 1).
However, in the tender on December 1, the success ratio reached only 30 percent for 3-year tenor bond (300 billion dong of one trillion dong offered for the tender).
According to the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), on December 6, the interbank average interest rate for overnight term was at 13.54 percent per annum, up 0.2 percent from December 1 and one-month term increased 0.7 percent to 13.76 percent p.a.
On the secondary market, the coupon rate of government bond for 1-year tenor on December 6 was at 12.78 percent p.a.
