Gtel licensed to cooperate with VinaPhone in launching 3G

Prime minister on Tuesday signed Official Letter No 2173/VPCP-KTN approving Gtel Mobile to cooperate with VinaPhone mobile network to launch 3G services.

Getl Mobile is one of two losers in the 3G licensing contest. However, according to current regulations, both losers can provide 3G services through cooperation with the winners.

General director of Getl Mobile, Alexey Blyumin reported completing the signing of contracts with big partners such as Ericsson, Alcatel Lucent, Huawei, Avaya and IBM to start up 3G network and services.
